Front Sway Bar Bushings Size.

I've looked around for a bit, and cannot find the size of the sway bar bushings. I tried to eye-ball the size, some reason I cant find my mic. But for a 06 Limited Hemi, will it be the 33mm or 30mm sway bar.

Don't know what was OEM, nor if the sway bars varied because of suspension options or weight distribution, I'd just measure it and get the right size bushing.

Put a big adjustable wrench on the bar, both side touching the bar, then measure the distance inbetween.

Wrap a tape measure around the bar and measure its circumference and then divide by 3.14, to convert inches to mm, multiple by 25.4.

Wrap a string around the bar, mark a line on the overlap, measure the distance between the lines and then divide by 3.14, to convert inches to mm, multiple by 25.4.

I did the wrench method. I only have a typographic ruler with small enough readings to be accurate. I measured in 2 places across the front of the sway bar. I got 96 points on both. Converts to 33.8mm. I'm assuming that's close enough to 33.

Found my MIC measured it at 33.8 MM. So figure the 33 MM bushings will work.

Gotta love it, went to advance auto, they didn't stock them. So I headed up to Auto Zone. Guy behind the counter, mid 50's seems to know his stuff. Me, "need sway bar bushings for a 06 Commander Limited, 5.7 4x4." Looks for a minute. His response, " sir they do not have sway bar bushings on that vehicle." "oh you dont stock them" "no sir the vehicle is not equipped with a sway bar, therefor, there are no bushings" "really...., thanks for your time bud"

Went to Murrays, picked them up, should be in tomorrow.

I don't see on that Moog link where it says its poly...might want to contact them Bobula. If you find out let us all know, I'd like to do poly sway bushings too.

I have "read" Thermo Plastic bushings are harder and last longer than poly. The ones I have gotten (for other vehicles) seem to be the case. NAPA sells thermo plastic sway bar bushings for most vehicles, though I looked them up for the Commander and they carry them.
