Will 07 Wrangler 18" stock rims & tires fit?

I have an 06 Jeep Commander Limited with stock 17" rims. A guy is selling his brand new stock 18" rims and tires from his 07 Wrangler. The size is 255/70R18 112S. Will these fit my 06 Commmander? Help a girl out that knows nothing about tires. Thanks!

Wheels will fit... but tires may be pushing it without a lift... those are 32" tires so you would be awful close to the bolt on the front.

I would actually like to put a 2" lift on it. Would that work with those tires, rims & lift?

They SHOULD... but you should always try to test fit tire and wheel combinations before committing to buy them.

Re: Will 07 Wrangler 18" stock rims & tires fit?

as far as i know us commander fans are kinda screwed on the wheels and tires. we have a 5x5 or 5x127 bolt pattern. the wrangler does not. they will not fit. the only ones that will fit are from commander, grand cherokee, pacifica, and for some reason a older impala. sure there are others, so dont fry me on the boards!! you just got to be careful when buying rims. always ask if the bolt pattern is 5x5 or 5x127. i almost got screwed on rims, but the guy took them back. good luck finding some rims. every other bolt pattern made has cheap rims and tires on ebay except for our. go figure!!

You are wrong. The JK (what she is referring to) has a 5x5 bolt pattern. The TJ had a 5x4.5 but the JK shares the same bolt pattern as the WK and XK.

Re: Will 07 Wrangler 18" stock rims & tires fit?

Because they are 255/70R18, they should fit as well as 255/70R17 (which I have and they fit fine - close to the bolt, but with about 1/2 inch clearance. The R18 would be irrelevant I would think because the 70 is the total tire diameter size. And the 255 width keeps it from rubbing either inside or out. But, just to be safe, I'd test fit the wheels and tires as well.

*Edited to say - that the no rub IS with a 2" lift.

Re: Will 07 Wrangler 18" stock rims & tires fit?

Actually, you are incorrect. The 17 or 18 will make a big difference. The 70 indicates that the sidewall is 70% of the tires width. So, the 18 will definitely be taller than the 17.
