Inner fender splash guard replacement

Anybody had to do this? I'm missing one of the "access doors" and need to get it closed back up. Part is cheap but if it's an ordeal to get the old out and the new in I might cut the door plus a little flange and bolt it in to the old one that's still on the truck. Link to the part I'm talking about....

I am thinkin it might be easier to just bolt or rivet a piece over the hole to close it up.

It is very easy to replace. You just need to pick up a plastic rivet gun and rivets from napa.
