Looking for audio/navigation component to replace the one in my 06 Commander 4.7 Limited with rear back-up light.
the Cd is jumping tracks like crazy. The Navigation data is outadated
I just finished installing a MyGig radio into my '06 Limited and it works perfectly. It ain't cheap to install a factory system but it was super easy to do and the existing steering wheel controls still work and it looks like it came installed this way from the factory. I don't have the VES rear seat video system but it is also compatible with the unit I installed.
Can't tell you exactly which model year Chrysler product my radio/NAV unit came from but once it started talking to my Commander's system the Jeep logo showed up on the screen, it read the VIN from my Jeep and found the GPS and Sirius satellites and walked me through the Uconnect bluetooth system for voice recognition, etc. Can't say enough about the support OEMAutoPartsCo.com offered. Good company in my experience.
In addition to the MyGig route, which is the best option but definitely pricey, you can also fit most double din radios into the dash. I personally am running an Pioneer unit and was able to keep everything but the VES system.
