rough country 2 inch lift installed - before and after pics

hi guys... i believe this is my first post here! been surfing this forum for a while now.

only recently have i decided to turn my commander into a mean green fishing machine. my goal here is to have the commander setup so i can drive it up onto the beach and do some shore fishing.

i just had my two inch lift installed yesterday. got a set of yakima ski racks that i use for my fishing poles, but i can't leave them on the truck when i am not fishing as there are certain parking lots i go to rather often that i won't fit in with them on.

the only other thing i need to change on "the beast" is tires. i'm not sure which size tires would compliment the commander with this two inch lift.

first pic is the before the install... all others are after the install.

I run 265/70/17 on the stock wheels with 1.5 spacers, no rubbing and makes it look so much better. But don't forget to get the front end aligned.

I have the same lift on my 2007 Commander. I put 275/70/17 with 1.5inch wheel spacers. Very little rub from the front tires on the wheel well. I used a heat gun to form were it hit.

I bought the spacers on ebay for 129.98 for all 4. The tires I bought are Nitto - Terra Grappler.
I picked them up from TireBuyer for 167.24 with free shipping. The only things I did where
Lower Balljoints and had a front end aligment.

The jeep looks and rides great. Very Happy with it.

Hope this helps ya out a little.

thanks for the advice! i've got close to 50k on the current tires so it's almost time to replace them.

i'm super happy with the lift... the ride is somewhat the same as stock...

the roof rack is a rage roof basket. i purchased the wind fairing because that thing was way too noisy. i just reversed the fairing and had a buddy of mine sticker out the jeep logo.

i cut the fairing a bit to get the yakima mounts on there. i wanted to be able to use the mounts and keep the fairing...

Now that you have had a few more weeks, would you still recommend the lift? Also, which engine do you have? XK looks great!

Ditto. Same size tires, same size spacers and same result. It will be out of alignment.

The lift looks great. What shocks did you go with for the rear?
