Has anyone tried this lift kit yet? It looks good on the website http://www.rockkrawler.com[/URL]. Wondering if it is worth twice the money as RR lift kit. Thanks

I don't see how it would be worth twice as much as it contains the same parts.

If you want to go a little higher end you could look at the Fabtech WK kit which should work fine on the XK. It includes matched front and rear shocks.

Interesting, these guy's are using longer forks to raise the front and most others are spacers for the top.

I would like to see some pictures of what needs trimmed to run the 33's.

My guess would be the plastic lip of the flares that hangs down below the actual metal lip the flare fastens to.

Have a set of Liberty flares layin around so I placed them over the Commander's and the opening is actually bigger. They look pretty good on there to. I'm thinkin during my 3 week layoff in january, I'll spend some time at my buddy's fiberglass company experimenting with the flares.

So one kit uses longer forks at the bottom and the other uses spacers at the top, what happens if you use both the forks and spacers? Anyone have good pics of the XK front suspension?

Anyone put the 3.5 on their Commander yet? I want to go with the Superlift but nobody knows if I have to wait one month or one year for the sensor update. What are your thouights on this lift compared to the Superlift?

This is a BRAND NEW 3.5 X-Factor System for the 06' Jeep Commander XK. This kit is made by Rock Krawler and is being offered by Top Gun Customz. We are an authorized Rock Krawler distributor.

The Rock Krawler 3.5 Inch X Factor System for the Jeep Commander has been engineered to give you the most ability for your Jeep Commander with ease of installation, performance and durability in mind. Rock Krawler replaces the factory lower cast factory strut forks with new high quality laser cut steel units that are 3/16 thick and have a cool aggressive look. This maintains the factory travel range and ride quality from the OEM front strut. Rock Krawler provides high quality extended front sway bar links that puts the front sway bar back in the factory operation position so not an ounce of highway handling is lost. In the rear, harmonically matched long travel rear coils replace the factory coil springs. Double adjustable rear lower control arms with a massive bushing at the frame and Krawler Joint at the axle replace the factory lower arms. The factory upper control arms are replaced with single adjustable, high clearance arms. They are bent to provide more down travel without hitting the factory gas tank or gas tank skid. A double adjustable rear track bar replaces the factory unit so the rear axle can be placed perfectly in position. The rear suspension is completed with a set of Rock Krawler long travel rear shocks that mount can up for exceptional ride quality! This is the best 3.5 Inch system on the market for Commander's and even complies with Stabilitrak equipped vehicles.

Sounds good, tell me the steel used is chrom/moly and heat treated and it will be GREAT. The only negative to me is the 31" tire. Seems to me a lot of cost for very little change. (arent the stock tires about 29 1/2"?) john

Yes, seems kind of silly considering I am running nearly 31's on a stock setup with no rubbing.

Maybe the tires they tested with were very square on the edges. They are probably just being conservative with the measurements to be on the safe side. And I think they are talking about tire size without spacers. You would probably have to test fit anything over 31" and it may not require cutting depending on tire shape.

I am more interested in the heighth, the is a half inch between the superlift and the Rock Krawler, I am not sure if I should settle for the Rock Krawler or wait out the superlift for $600 more? Also I can install the Rock Krawler, but would have to pay a shop to install the Superlift. I do not know alot about lifts but want the best one so I do not regret it later.

In my opinion, the superlift is the best kit out there - I have the rocky road, it is exactly what works for me, I didn't want 4" , but as far as a "proper" lift (not a spacer lift) - hold out for the superlift.

Yeah, they have been saying "one month" for about the last 12 months on fixing that speed controller for the DSC...
