I want some. I like the look of the Cragar Street lock wheels, but they don't make them in a 5x5 pattern.

how about some advice/recommendations about this.....I need to get new tires already at 27k.....so, i'll prolly do both at once. want to get some tires that can handle the sand of OBX but not suck on the street too.

thanks!

I wanted American Racing Mojave with the teflon finish, but couldn't find them....or any matte black. But I am happy with my pro-comps. I put the wheel caps on also....looks better with them i think.

Soft 8's were on back order when I got mine....and i had to have tires quick. I liked the price on the soft 8's, but the alloys I do think the alloys are a little nicer than the steel wheel.

I havent done anything with the rubbing yet. Kinda minor....and where the tires rubbed the plastic has worn some, so it isnt as bad.

No spacers.

Yes, they are made by Mopar, available at your dealership...there is a seller on Ebay selling them too.

$230 shipped
and then these tires (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=BFGoodrich&tireModel=All-Terrain+T%2FA+KO&partnum=57SR6ATAKORWL&i1_Qty=4&autoMake=Jeep&autoModel=Wrangler%20Rubicon&autoYear=2006&autoModClar=&vehicleSearch=true):

i wonder if the tire pressure monitoring system will be an issue......

lumberjim
06-16-2008, 12:02 AM
maybe 285/75 R16's instead....that would give it a 32.8 inch diameter instead of 30.05"......11.4" tread width with -6 (>1/4") offset...and 1 3/8" spacers (1.62" total neg offset)

i wonder if it will rub the knuckle......or protrude greatly.

16's will not clear the break calibers. If you're going with the 4" superlift, the 32.8" tire will fit. If you're going with 2" or 2.25" lift, it will be too tall. I believe that biggest tire I've seen on the 2.25" lift is 265/70/17 with a little rubbing.

The tire shop should be able to take the TPMS sensors off your stock rims and put them on the new ones.

thanks for that. i had not considered the brake calipers. whew. that would have sucked.

looking at it, i think the 16s would have fit.....

anyway, i found a better combo without the adapters.

here's what it should look like :

So what are you trying to run exactly? And you may not wanna disagree with these guy's they really know their stuff. I had the 4" with BFG A/T 285/55/R20's...I think that comes out to about 33" maybe a hair less... They rubbed pretty good on the turns... And are you even sure about the 16's? I'm almost positive it's impossible to make those fit on here.

I believe there's other members who test fitted 16s and it didn't work. If it did work, you would have a whole bunch of us already with 16's to give us more rubber for offroading, but it doesn't.

well, yeah....I'm not about to take any chances there. I went 17. I did a bunch of research on backspacing and drew diagrams and got all geeked out about it. Those are the new tread pattern BFG MT's 49er, and are introductory priced, so hurry. I saw the same wheels elsewhere for $255 each. Discounttire says they'll match pricing, so maybe support a sponsor. i had already ordered the tires from tire rack becausei didnt get the price match offer until too late
