Back-up Cam Question

Hi guys, I searched first, I swear. :)

I saw a few posts on reverse cams, but everyone seems to have in dash nav screens. Does anyone have any experience w/ the add on ones? Specifically, has anyone used or seen the ones that go on to or replace the mirror? Or are they usually junk? Thanks!

Here is a member who installed an aftermarket camera and radio, you could use any monitor without replacing your radio.

Thank you for the help. I'm looking for a complete 'add on' system. I have the base, stock radio. No nav, no LCD of any kind. Anybody here have any experience with these?

Well, problem solved today. I scored a great deal on one of these: http://www.rostra.com/RearSight-Universal.asp - got it for $225.00

Now I've got a new problem. I'm going to have to remove the stock mirror (base mirror, no compass, bluetooth, autodim or anything fancy like that). So I'm probably going to have to remove the stock mirror and relocate it to the windshield from the overhead console. I'll have to find some way to tidy up the underside of the console unless I can find a way to use the new mirror on the stock mount. I'm not sure if I can separate the ball and socket joint and if the new mirror will be compatible. Hopefully the new mirror being on the windshield won't be too far of a stretch to adjust. :fingerscrossed: OIIIIIIO
