Hey OnATrail, I was contemplating purchasing the Matrix Brush Guard and was wondering how easy/hard the installation was? Did you have to do any cutting of the bumper or grill or was it direct bolt on? I found a couple pictures of your installation and it seems you had to remove the bumper and grill to install this part. Where are they mounting points for off-road lighting besides the two on either side of the hoop? Any tips you can share? Thanks!

thanks for the info. i prob. should have read on your posts a little further before asking HA!HA!HA! i sorta figured after reading that my best outcome would be 265X70/17 all the way round ...by the way your Commander really looks good and maybe its the set up or angles of pics but others tiers dont come out like yours do from the fenders.
I LIKE THAT ...the stance is better looking

ok back to me i'm still strugeling with 17X8 or 17X8.5 with the 8.5 rim selection is limited .... Thanks again Sal.

with regards to you whell specs post ==== Ok so with your RR2.25 lift wr you able to go to 17 X 9 and what size tires did you end up with ...i ask becouse i was wanting 8.5 but thats hard to find and that would limit me to 265X70/17 and some tires (mt's) don't offer in that size only 245 or 285
with a 17X9 i could go to 285X70/17 but will it work with my soon to be RR 2.25 lift and if yes on the 17X9 what backspacing or offset will i need ?

I believe the brush guard is an Aries. It was on when I purchased the XK. As far as the wheel spacers go they are just a machined piece of aluminum that fits between the rotor and wheel. The right thing to do is to buy new wheels with the correct backspacing but no one on this forum has had issues with the spacers. If you end up using them buy the Spidertrax ones, they are the best.

I'm running a 2" TerraFlex with Bilstein shocks and the ride is stiffer than stock, but not too harsh. I have some tire rubbing, but I'm running 265/70R17 tires, and they only rub at full turn. You might want to consider going with the OME springs instead, they apparently give a better quality ride.
