Haha, same here. I'm on the fence about adding a lift since I want to keep this one for a long time all while maintaining it family friendly but every time I see a lifted Commander I can't help but think that's how these Jeeps were meant to be. Seems like OME is the way to go. My first XK had the RC spacer lift and it did the job. I had Bilstein shocks all around and I loved the feel of the ride. I guess we'll see what the wallet says next year for me. Good luck and keep me posted. Oh and I'm definitely getting new tires soon, been eyeing the new GoodYear All Terrains. I had Silent Armors before and they were great tires, these seem to be a bit better.

It definitely was a lot of fun. I think it was just under two hours. It's in Attica, Indiana. You can camp there too in your own tent or camper if you don't want to drive back the same day. With the trip and wheeling you're looking at a lot of driving in one day, definitely fun though once you hit the trails. It's the hidden trails that were better but you kind of have to be familiar with the terrain a bit or walk ahead when you can't see what's coming up because some parts are meant more for ATVs. All the trails are marked too so it's difficult to get lost, you just have to follow the arrows.

I'm on the same boat, this is my second Commander and I've already put it a lot of money on things it needs to get it back into the shape I'd like. My first one I had to get rid of because I needed something more fuel efficient. My dept now moved to our Chicago office so of course I had to get her back.

When I had my first Commander I only took it to the Badlands in Indiana and that place was awesome. The first time I visited I was full stock and the Commander did not disappoint. The next few times I had my lift and slightly larger offroad tires. I have some videos that I posted in this thread: Badlands Trip. It was a lot of fun and you definitely have to try it at least once. My first XK was a 3.7L V6 and I never really felt like I couldn't go where I wanted to so I could now imagine going there with a Hemi and 4wd low. I'll have to take out this one for a test drive there sometime.
