Hey.... I didnt end up using any special tools when I replaced my rear pinion seal. When I installed the flange back on over the pinion it slid right back down the splines with a slight tap of a hammer. Then the nut tightened it where it needed to be. As far as the torque specs i followed the instructions in the service manual. Cant remember the exact specs.
No Problem. When i Got it back from the dealership they told me there was water in the gears which started an entire domino effect of things breaking. Not sure how it could have gotten water in it.
No Sorry not yet. I've been out of town for a little while and im back on the road with my commander heading to British Columbia. I'm Going to try to get those up by the end of this week. I took it to 2 mechanics and they couldnt tell me what it was bc it doesnt happpen all the time. Drivin the commander across the country and it scares me when it started doing it. I ll get pics of the spot by the end of this week
I'm thinking about a Commander and would want a 4" lift. You have done a great job w/ yours. This is the first time I have been on this web site or posted anything...
I was also wondering the details of your lift, shocks, tires and wheels.
Thanks
Can you tell me what lift you have and what tire size you are running? Thanks. I have only had my Commander about three weeks and ready to lift and shod to release the beast.
