I just had a Rusty’s 2” lift installed on my 06’ Commander. While I was at the auto repair shop the mechanic told me everything went fine. He also mentioned I should have a wheel alignment done, which I agree. After I got home I received a call from the mechanic telling me that he forgot to mention my front differential axle bushing is broken and that I should get it fixed before getting the alignment. My question is: could the bushing have been broken by the mechanic while putting on the lift? Why didn’t he call me when he noticed it to fix it? How could he forget to tell me about it while I was there? It all just seemed a little suspicious. Also should I continue to drive like this? How much should this cost to replace?

I cant answer any of your technical questions however I personally don't think the mechanic broke it but if he did how could you ever prove it. If he did and didn't tell you right away I personally don't think he would have been honest enough to tell you later cause by that time he already got away with it. Being that he told you later I think he really did forget and maybe it just slipped his mind cause he was busy or something.
