Mileage Thread: How many do you have?

Our 2006 4.7 is just about to turn 90,000 and the only non maintenance items we've had to address are replacement of the battery and front sway bar bushings (the battery is not that unexpected).

The Commander has been outstanding, even more so considering it is a first model year vehicle. Quality is excellent and makes up for the terrible fuel mileage (yeah, I know: "why do you have a Commander if you want good fuel mileage?!") Towing the race car and hauling the lil ones around, of course. :eek:hyeah:

Anyway...

We're planning on keeping her awhile and running her up to 200k+ and this thread is for folks to post their current miles and what non maintenance type items you've had to replace. Just wondering what may be ahead when starting to get well into the 100k mileage domain.

Thanks all!

06 - Hemi- bought with 28K on it, now has 55K. Sway bar bushings, TPMS sensors all replaced under warentee. Battery and brake pads replaced. Only real problem with it is it will not stay clean, must be a lemon :boink:

06 it has 48.8k on it. It's been my daily driver since new in November of 2006. I've replaced more than I can even list..... and I'm not talking about brakes/oil/tires.

1 engine (replaced with a forged 6.1l)
diff bushings (probably gonna need to do the whole dif)
power steering pump
shocks
sways
battery twice
cats went bad it in
various bushings

and a bunch of other smaller stuff. biggest thing by far was the engine taking a giant dump at 48k and shooting the rod through the block.

I bought my '08 3.7L Sport in February of 2011. I am the 2nd owner and I have had no problems so far, knock on wood :bangin:. I'm just about to turn 33,000 miles. Love it and can't wait to do more customizing. :roller:

Mine 06 has 77k Miles or 125k KM's. I purchased it in 2010 and have had the following problems during the last 2 years: exhaust manifold leak fixed under warranty.(bolt sheared off) Both catalytic converters replaced under warranty.(done prior to discovery of manifold leak. manifold was the culprit) :) Starter replaced.(I wanted to cry looking at it on top of a flat bed truck) The next project in the front stabilizer bar bushings. Also I agree with a past post. Mine will not stay clean. It must be a lemon.

Just hit 100,000 on my 2008 Commander.

I did have to replace the catalytic pipe at 99,800.

Love this Jeep. Runs great, not too bad on milage on the highway (get a solid 20.7 round trip to Atlanta from Jacksonville, FL , and very comfortable with all the Overland gizmos on board.

XK-08 3.0 CRD Limited, bought in 2010. The only owner, last week turned 45K miles. For these two years I replaced:
* front brake pads (once, last winter) (~$100)
* front sway bar bushings (~ at 63000 km) (~$140)
* right upper ball joint (~ 40000km) (warranty - ~$120)
* cold air intake pipe (53013672АD->53013672АЕ; known problem for Mercedes-Benz 3.0 engine) (paid myself ~$280)
* power steering hose (burst) (warranty - ~$150)
* two pressure sensors (they not survived our winter with its richly salted snow) ~$60
* mygig REZ was replaced under warranty (like many others I decided to calibrate its screen and not brought it to the end) ~ $2K

07 LIMITED with 121,000.
no major problems had to replace cv joints and a axle bushing due to being double stacked for two years.
and recently i changed all sensors due to my commander stuttering a lot everyday for the past 3 or 4 mnths. Fixed it 3 days ago the connector to the ecu was a bit loose.
Overall love my jeep love the 4low. i go to the beach almost everyweekend and pull my RZR. Alays enjoy pulling out trucks at the beach.

2 Commanders the 06 4.7 has 85,xxx on it and the 06 3.7 has 95,xxx both have been great vehicles, the 4.7 tranny took a dump after the dealer put antifreeze in it lol otherwise just brakes maintenance and oil and manifold gasket wheel bearings, the 3.7 has been a pain lots of stuff suspension wise but it keeps me busy working on it, 3.7, 17.8 m.p.g average 4.7, 15.8 m.p.g average

love the jeeps

My '06 4.7 is at 78k and running great. I haven't had it long, but it has no issues or signs of wear. Just regular and preventive maintenance.
Can't wait for the stock shocks and struts or the tires to need to be replaced so I can do an OME lift and big fat tires!

Sent from my Android device.

Still around 25,000 miles on my 2006 5.7

Our 08 will be 4 years old and paid off in Feb 2013. I will never have another 0% loan, can't pay it off! Bought new, with every option available for $30k. It now has 86,000. I think I can safely say this is the best car we have ever owned. Fuel and tires, and front diff bushing this week end. We just installed brackets for roadmaster tow bar. Will tow it instead of the cherokee on this years east coast trip. I know lot of folks have bought for off road, but this one fantastic, sure footed road car.

On a late 2007 5.7 Hemi we have 168,768 happy miles and not a single sign of oil burning or rough running!

137,000 Now. 127,000 of which are all mine!

#47 ·
Nice. I'm now sitting at 120,000 miles. Bought brand new

Just over 29,572. Bought mine in December of '08, dealer demo with 7,200 on it. I just got "Service 4WD System" two days ago. The trans felt locked in 4WD. I have an appt with the dealer but i wanted to know if anyone has any info regarding this. Just don't want to go in blind. Thanks

127,000 miles this week, bought new April 09 as an 08 leftover....I've had 1 coil pack replaced, rear hatch struts replaced, ECU updated, auto dim mirror replaced, crappy fog lights replaced (what a joke they are), now my front prop shaft, passenger axle shaft, and radiator cap replaced. Not too bad for as many hard miles I've driven this thing....maintenance is the key!

Our 2 week old 2010 just turned 32,000 miles. Most of miles in the last two weeks by wife! Only thing we've replaced is the fuel! Ha, snort! But, we love the jeep, I've had 5 jeep grand wagoneers in various states of disrepair. And two YJ Wranglers, she hated all of the them! But not this one, whew!

#51 ·
Just rolled 112,000

#54 ·
127,000 on my '06 - all mine (literally...I don't think anyone else has driven it except to pull it out of the service bay)
