'Alarm' message on radio display - Jeep Commander Forums: Jeep Commander Forum

I have a CRD 2007 Commander. While driving today the words 'Alarm--Alarm' appeared on the radio display and there was a beep. The radio is a 6 CD unit, no Nav or Bluetooth. Does anyone know what could be causing this or what the problem is. I think it indicates a problem with the car.

I have also had that happen 3 times. Mine also says "Alarm,Alarm" out loud through the speakers. I kid you not.I have not found anything about this anywhere. I have the same radio as Geoff.

xk, Is your XK also a CRD?

My guess is that it is limited to the CRD since we have not seen it here.

Have not checked back here for a while. No mine is not a CRD but a 2006 5.7. It actually turns of the radio beeps and then says "Alarm Alarm" then turns the radio back on. At the same time the display on the radio says "Alarm,Alarm"

Would love to know what it trying to tell me.....
