I want to improve acceleration and mpg but stay as quiet as possible.I plan on getting the K&N 63-1545 air charger kit ($213 Amazon) and Flowmaster 70 Series muffler ($126 Amazon).Should I get the 2.5" or 3" muffler and pipes? Will the 3" increase the noise level significantly?
Ok, so lets add a twist, i have been trying to set up a engine swap, why, the commanders never had a 300hp v6, the hemi only put out 300hp in the commander, in the new grand cherokee, the new 3.6l v6 is just shy of 300hp with better mpgs,
My 3.7L Does good, the Commander already is heavy, I had a chance to take a 2012 Grand Cherokee out on some trails, and that 3.6L was amazing, made me want one, I am looking for a wrecked 2011 Grand Cherokee,4x4 without the freedom drive II,
I have one and I like it very much. I run it on the " regular " tune and was able to adjust the tire size to correct my speedometer for the 255/70-17 Wrangler take-offs that I'm running. With the Hypertech Tuner and a K&N drop-in filter in the factory airbox, I'm very happy with my 3.7. Next, I'd like to do something with the exhaust to breathe better but I would like it to be as close to stock quiet as I can keep it.
