Modifying Pinch Weld for oversized tires

You will rub at full lock with that set up (slightly).

First off, you have not pounded your pinch welds... is that correct? If so, it's an absolute must and about a 10 minute job.

Two important things about shaping the plastic with a heat gun. 1) use a stick of some kind to push the plastic into shape while heating it with the gun. 2) hold it to that shape while it cools.

if im going to 265/70/17 the lift (2'')and spacer(1.5) are'nt enough.??
tires still rub..?

Ya it will proabaly rub...I have the same set up and I rub at full lock, but you will probably only have to reshape the inner fender not bend the pinch weld

Can some one post pics of the reshaped inner fender

Yup. But only on the plastic fender liner when the pich welds are tapped back. It's worth the 20 minutes it will take you to do it.

I'm getting a 4 in superlift put on this week. It should be done Wednesday. I ordered 285/70R17 bf mt km2s and I have 1.5 wheelspacers. Should I go to the tire place to put the new tires on after I have the lift on or should I modify the pinch welds first? Can I drive home with these or will the rubbing mess the tires up? Also is it only the front tires that rub, and the back ones are fine? Im wanting to go try these mods out at the bad lands this next weekend.

Are there any rubbing issues with a 2" spacer lift and 245/75 r17 tires and no wheel spacers. It seems to me that putting on wheel spacers would push the tire more into the wheel well at full lock.
