I'm glad you posted this. I wanted to ask a question and your new post reminded me. When you did the install did you have to take the whole dash off or were you able to just get the face plate off the front of the radio and heat/cold controls? I haven't been able to find a "how to" on anything other than an '06. If you could give me a step by step I would appreciate it. Thanks.

I would have taken pictures of each step, if I had known, but it is rather simple. You will have to pop the front of the dash off, but it takes a minute and is very easy.

1. Remove chrome trim around shifter. Held in by pressure clips. Use your finger to get it started and work your way around it. A small flathead screwdriver helps, but be careful not to scratch it.

2. Remove the plastic trim around the shifter (the piece that contains the storage tray). Same process as above.

3. Remove dash bezel. There are 3 pressure clips on each side. Unclip the harnesses for the controls.

4. Remove 8 hex screws from dash (near vents). Dash will then pop off very easily. I started on the drivers side. Pull it straight out (put steering wheel as far down as you can).

Stereo is held in by 4 screws.

Let me know if you have any questions along the way. I took my time and had probably 8 hours into the installation, but that includes the navigation antenna, sirius antenna, sirius module, backup camera, and bluetooth microphone. If I did it again from scratch, I could probably cut my install down to 4-5 hours.

It is a tight fit behind the dash, so be careful with your cord management.
