Hi guys, i wanna know once for all if the park control error ( 2 pair of red lights and the message on the display) is related in any way with engine, oil or gear problem.
Thanks a lot

If your Commander is displaying a park assist error without other issues, I'd first look at the bumper sensors. Wiggle them and look for loose sensors. I had that issue and a little silicone to hold the loose sensor was enough to fix it.
If it's showing a park assist error and difficult to put into gear or feels "jerky", it's likely the sensor in the gear box.

At the biginni i thought was linked with a sensor issue, but i check it all. Then i changed the fog lights and i put the his one: i thought a cable with hight voltage could touch the sensor.. But no..
About the gear box what u mean about jerky?? I feel like a TUNC noise when the gear pass from 1st to second gear...
But when u pass from R to N is normal a sort of noise??
Thanks

"Jerky" can present itself in a few ways. Sometimes it hesitates. Sometimes it may be a hard shift. Maybe both. It's often something just not right that only the daily driver would notice.
If it were my Jeep, I would go to my local auto parts store and buy a can of electrical part cleaner. It's sometimes difficult to find. If you can't find that, look for a can of Mass Airflow Sensor cleaner. MAF Sensor cleaner. You'll want a spray that cleans, dries quickly and will not melt or distort plastic.
Unplug each sensor and clean the connectors. If that doesn't help the problem, my next guess would be the gear sensor. That may be something you'd be more comfortable letting the dealer fix.
actually i noticed all the symptoms u mention above as "Jerky". Sometime the gear makes a HARD change between first and second gear giving a sort of pull even when you decelerate.
Is it normal a noise when i pass from D to R?? A sort of TUNC coming from under my feet...
About this gearbox problems i have an idea, maybe is bull****: some months ago i went offroad and i get hard stuck in a river, i dindt gave up and i was trying to free the car until i get the message TRANSMISSION OVER TEMPERATURE or similar, so i immediately switch the car of...
After that i start to feel this "jerky" gearbox....
it could be related?? could be the oil that, once it cross the temperature it lost its proprieties??
thanks for helping me

I've had tramission and gear issues with my previous Wrangler's when crossing deep water. There are vent tubes to both. If the hose came off before or during the water crossing, you may have water in there.
If I ever cross deep water, I always replace the differential fluid. If our Commanders had trans dipsticks, we would be able to look for foamy trans fluid which would indicate introduced water.
If my Commander were showing the same symptoms as yours, I would have a mechanic look it over. Ignoring a potential transmission issue will likely cost you much more later.

I've owned quite a few Wrangler's and each one seemed to have its own personality with different noises. All were normal to that particular Jeep.
This is my first Commander, so I don't have any practical experience I can share with this model. The best answer I can offer is if it hasn't always made that noise, I wouldn't think it was normal.
for sure now i ll change my fluid then i ll try to pay attention to the car.. if the problem ll remain i ll bring it to the dealer...
thanks again i ll keep u updated

thanks
