UK 3.0L diesel dash light issue...

...it's a red lightening flash between 2 lines described in the UK manual as relating to the "fly by wire" throttle for the 5.7L Hemi but suggesting unrelated to anything else, ie the diesel. It's illuminating every other journey but there is no related performance effect. I think it is light 23 in the US manual.

Any ideas how it relates to the UK diesel if at all? I appreciate most US models are petrol

Thanks, kind of... Got a local club member coming to read the codes, if it's the swirl motor it's going back to the dealer!

Is linked with the dpf sensor. Did you remove it?

Happen to mine when i was working on the module where end up the 2 metallic pipes that start from the dpf.. Did u get witch?

Hi did it go into limp mode ? if so its most likely the swirl port motor does the light go out when you turn it off and start it again ?
This is an expensive repair in the uk Also their is a mod which is a new turbo to aircleaner pipe with a differant better seal on it and stops leaking onto the swirl port motor I have started adding the fuel port cleaner to mine and it seems to have cured it
300 c diesel owners have the same problem and you can buy a catch can to collect the waste also

...OK so after a fair bit of digging about on the net there's a bodge on the 300c forum which I'm going to do. Effectively you bypass the swirl motor by wiring a resistor across the feed. A few of the 300c guys have had it done for a good few miles without any known downside.

I won't bother yet with the catch tank or new seal until I see how it goes.

Mine started doing this today :-(. PLease can you clarify what is meant by "have started adding the fuel port cleaner to mine and it seems to have cured it". Also, any idea how much being quoted to fix?

I took the engine cover off and there's a little black box above the turbo with a cam on it. The cam moves when the ignition is on. Is this helpful?

Car's at the dealer as the local garges said too difficult for them to diagnose. Diagnosed today as a P2015 and needing a new Swirl actuator. Should get the car back tomorrow with my wallet a bit lighter. Maybe that is a bit less weight that I need to lose on my diet. Ho hum.
