Plugs & air filter

Bought a 2007 4.7L a month ago finally got around to changing plugs today everyone went smooth until the last one, took me 15 min alone lol. After reading all the threads I finally decided to go with a k&n drop in and not a whole kit... Next week converting over to full synthetic!

What is the gap for the 4.7... I thought it was .40 but all the plugs I pulled which were original were .50

Also what's the gapping for 06 5.7l? I need to do mine too.

By the sounds (reads) of it, if I mod my own air box and get a k&n drop in filter, I can get the same mpg increase as a whole CAI. Ppl claim 0.5-2 mpg increase for either.

Any updates or words from those with either setup on that?
