Smile Nav Bezel...where to buy?

I have purchased a new factory nav system for my 2006 Commander.
I am in need of the factory bezel to make this install look right.

Where is the best place to buy the bezel?
The prices online seem to be running $85 plus shipping.
Does anybody have a place to purchase this bezel for less?

Thanks for the help

Re: Nav Bezel...where to buy?

i just called one of the local Jeep dealerships and that bezel goes for $95-$100, they needed a vin to get specific and I did not have mine handy. The parts guy also said that this is more than just a bezel that it appeared to be the fron of the dash plat that went from intrument panel all the way to the passenger door. I dont know what you are looking for, but if you could do that for about the same price as an aftermarket bezel only it would sure give you more of a factory look.

The parts guy said I should come in and look at the exploded diagrams to make sure I was getting what I needed. Maybe you should make a trip to the dealer where you bought your car and ask them to give you a discount on the piece(s) you need. They will sell parts to body shops at about 1/3 off of the list price so maybe you can get a pretty good discount on the part since you bought your jeep there.

Good Luck!

Re: Nav Bezel...where to buy?

I believe it is just the bezel and not the whole dash.

Re: Nav Bezel...where to buy?

My dealership thought it was the bezel only but as it appears on the diagram it is the entire front dash plate. I asked them to throw that part into the deal when I purchased the vehicle and I bought the navigation off ebay brand new. The parts department at the dealership said the part was $70.... It is on back order... I've been waiting for a little over three weeks now.

Re: Nav Bezel...where to buy?

It in infact the entire front dash section.

My commander came with the stock system and I replaced it with a Kenwood Navi system. I needed to order the new "bezel" to acomodate the new install.

Re: Nav Bezel...where to buy?

The section around the radio itself is plastic welded to the backing which is the entire front face of the dash. I don't know why no ones making a radio bezel just to replace that section. I guess it's too new.

Re: Nav Bezel...where to buy?

The bezel is the entire top front section of the dash held in by allen key screws. I dont know why your dealer needs a VIN to look it up, if you are looking for a Nav bezel to add Nav it will come up with your current bezel when he runs it with the VIN filter on. I have to look up the trim codes, but if you have D1 or D5 the part number is 5JT12XDVAI and if you have J1 or J3 its 5JT12ZJ8AI. They both list for $93.80 but you should be able to find them slightly cheaper then that.

Re: Nav Bezel...where to buy?

Found the trim codes, D1 is Dark Slate Grey/ Light Graystone. D5 is Medium Slate Grey. J1 is Dark Khaki/ Light Graystone, and J3 is Khaki interior. I have not noticed a difference in the bezel colors, but that is how they list them.
