New Commander Owner with a few questions

I am a long time Jeep owner. My wife and I just purchased a Commander - Rocky Mountain Edition with V6 and lots and lots of features.

-My first question is about the rear backup warning device. When we put the jeep in reverse it just beeps. It beeps like crazy for about 10 seconds. Then it stops even when you get close to a snowbank.

-Can anyone on here get me a build sheet for this Jeep?

Thanks

Johnny

Make sure the sensors and bumper area are clear of snow. Also, sometimes a trailer hitch can set it off.

2007 XK Limited, 5.7L Hemi, QDII, Rusty's 2" lift, Spidertrax 1.5 inch wheel spacers, GetLost4x4's front hitch mount for portable winch.GY Duratracs 265/70R17s , Rola Roof Rack, diy built spare tire mount for the roof rack.

The backup sensors will see anything in the hitch reciever in most cases.
I dont know if you have a hitch, but a drawbar will set it off.
Dirty or snow/ice coated sensors will do that as well.
So, if the sensors are clean and there is no drawbar.......off to the dealer.

Regarding the build sheet.....hang in there, someone else will chime in shortly.

Congrats on you purchass,
Rob

You used to be able to get a build sheet from Chrysler (owners section of the jeep.com site) but I don't believe they don't do that anymore for some reason.
