Kenwood DNX7100-Nav Unit

I installed a used Kenwood DNX7100. The FM audio works great. The DVD/CD audio is really really low on max volume setting of 30 and also sounds distorted. anyone have any ideas or suggestions? thanks in advanced.

I have this same unit and I like it very much.

Bought it from LEKMED.

But I initially had trouble with the ground. Check all the grounds first.

Did you use the CHRY converter? I didnt I changed the pug on the radio end and it works fine.

Have you tried the sound with an IPOD or Thumbdrive? If it is only the CD player....may have a short....But if it is only CD/DVD......have you tried CD and DVD? Seperately? Try a movie vs music.

If it is only the cd player and everything else sounds ok, try a different unit.
