)8 NAv top end unit

I just got the 08 commander with the high end nav unit with reverse cam. I've read about the lock pick unit. My question is there a way to just rewire and turn off the parking wire like on many other GPS units. Thus letting the unit play DVD and other functions to work in drive mode

No, that won't work in the Commander. That's why people are buying the Lockpick.

Edit: You can also get a hacked navigation disc that will allow you to put navigation info in while in motion. But it doesn't allow any other in motion functions.

What have you read. I don't recall anyone here having any complaints. Put lockpick in the forum search engine and do some reading.

The reading I've done show's a bit of a mixed bag. A few bad experiences, but those posts are followed up with resolutions. From what I've read, the good out ways the bad.

I think I'm going to pull the trigger on the the newest model, chr550, so that I can get the iPhone integration. Its $100 more, but for me it seems worth it.

I have an '08 Limited w/ Hemi. Our Nav units are the same. I'll follow up in a week or so to let you know how it is.
