Lightbulb 2008 Mygig RER Bluetooth and iPod Qs

Hi everyone-
Very new to the Commander world as we just got the 2008 5.7 HEMI Limited in mid April, 2011. Very happy overall, but have qs on the 2008 Mygig RER with nav, Sirius, Uconnect and rev camera.
1) Several websites reference an ability to stream Pandora internet radio through the mygig system. I have an HTC EVO paired with UConnect. Once paired you are supposed to be able to select the AUX source and find the paired phone running the Bluetooth for Auto option in Pandora. I tried, but AUX is not even selectable. Any answers why it's not working? This does work for things like Bluetooth headphones. And, my phone works perfectly... Is it a hardware or firmware issue? Any hacks or fixes?
2) Similar question on iPod integration cable. I have found the ipod cable on Justforjeeps and likewise, but all reference that the 2007 and 2008 RER will not work with that cable to control ipod via touchscreen. Again, is it a hardware or firmware limitation? And, are there any workarounds?

Sorry if I'm rehashing an old issue. I just couldn't find any specifics on reasons why these options are not available. Thanks! -JP

The lockpick is not what he needs. The lockpick model for 2006 and 2007 models is for retrofitting a mygig into those models. The lockpic for 2008 - 2010 models allows navigation input while in motion and allows video on the nav screen while in motion.

The short answer is that you can't do what you want with the 2008 model. You can connect your phone through its headphone output to the aux jack (that will activate the AUX button) and control it via the phone itself. The sound will come through the system. But you can't control the phone through the RER.

Actually they have introduced a new version called the CHR550 that will allow the user to interact with your ipod/iphone or ipad. Allows for your steering wheel controls to manuver the ipod

Ha. Your avatar has just started populating on the page. I couldn't see that you have a pheasant, and not so much anything golf oriented as your image. Sorry onebirdyman... Golf, hunting, it's all the same, right? But seriously, thanks a million for the reference to the coastaletec site. This is exactly what I was looking for. A little pricey for what should just be a firmware upgrade. But worth it nonetheless.
