lights out...uh hu DARN...Darn...Darn Lights out!

I jumped into my wifes 06 Commander the other day and noticed that her light didnt work on her climate contols (under the radio). How do you take the dash pannel apart to put new ones in? Are the Allen head bolts functional or just decoration?
Thanks

They're mixed - some functional, some decorative - i can't remember which are which though. There's a post that points the active ones out, but i can never remember which ones. My lights died also, but I found it much easier to just replace the whole module. Ended up paying $65 and about 45 minutes of "manual labor" to pull the dash and replace the module. Just search ebay for "jeep commander climate control."
