Does the DRL use the regular headlights? I ask because I want to have the dealer program my '06 for that but only if it will not cause my instrument readings to be impossible to read in daylight. Right now, if I use any lights during daylight I cannot easily read the NAV, GPS screen and barely see the compass/temp. readings.

Re: Drl

Turn the interior lighting control stalk to the next to the last notch. This puts the dash lights to full brightness regardless if your lights are on.

Re: Drl

The DRL's are a separate circuit that don't affect the instrument lights, When using any other exterior lights you can do as Rubi said.

Re: Drl

My DRL are the blinkers only. You can choose whatever combo you want, including emergency type flashers (probably illegal).

I think that is ONLY with AEVs configuration tool... not with the Starscan.

Re: Drl

It does not affect the instrument panel. Mine are set for the high beam and when you activate the turn signal the headlight on the same side goes out until the Turn signal deactivates. I guess it's a Canada thing. Other than that oddity, it works great.
