MYGIG in 07

Just bought a 07 commander limited with nav but not the mygig. Was wondering if the 08 mygig system would fit in the 07. I would rather have a dvd player so I can watch some movies on roadtrips and I like the touchscreen. The only thing is the bluetooth options on mine are on the mirror instead of on the player itself and I don't have the buttons on the steering wheel, it is on the dash. Just wondering. Thanks in advance

Possibly make it fit, but getting it to work is the bigger challenge. 2008+ XKs use a CAN2 bus for transmitting data, whereas the 2006 and 2007 XKs use a CAN bus. You can not just plug and play the CAN2 MyGig into a CAN bus vehicle. It would take some work... your efforts would be better spent on installing a Pioneer AVIC D3. It will give you a near-factory look and allow you to play movies and has a touchscreen. You can even turn the dial and button colors to the same color as the stock interior dash lighting.
