Dash light flashing on and off???

Ok, Had my "new to me" 07 Commander Limited for three days now. Put 250 miles on it so far. Starting having a problem with the interior dash light. It's an intermittent problem. Only happens now and then. The dash lights, all of them, flash on and off like the engine is turned off, parking light flicker at the same time, But the engine stays running and the truck keep driving fine?

Any ideas?

I did a search and came up with two different answers. One was ignition switch and the other was the headlight switch?

If it the ignition switch can I change it out and still use the same key, or do I need to get the doors rekeyed to fit the ignition?

You will only be changing the electrical part, not the key cylinder. Only takes 15 to 20 minutes.

Took it to the deal. They said yes there's a recall on the switch, but the parts aren't available as of yet? So now what do I do??

Go to Any auto store. They all have them. You can spend between $25-$45. Did you search here and look at the write up on this? Its not very difficult.

OK, bought the new switch from Advanced Auto parts. Installed it, only took about 20 minutes. It fixed the problem. Driven it about 1k miles and so far to more flashing lights!

ditto. which switch did you replace? was it the ignition switch or the headlight switch?

My car doesn't have any of the blinking service lights or etc etc on the dash, only the dash back-lighting is blinking / flickering. Well; now my headlights are freaking-out as well. Blinking, flashing, etc etc.

I'm not so sure this is ignition switch related. ??

The flickering dash lights has usually been the ignition switch, The flickering headlights sounds light the headlight stalk, or switch. And i think thats a dealer item.
