Updating Nav

I have not updated my UConnect Nav on my 2010 Commander for 2 years. Is it worth doing? I am fine using google maps. The only downside is it make this horrible "Phone call has ended" after each prompt. So two things.

1. Do people actually pay the $150 to upgrade the maps anymore?
2. Any hints besides plugging in Aux to get rid of that horrible "Phone call has ended" after each prompt.

Update sofware first.

You should update your software first to see if it solves the problems. You can update to the latest software and Gracenotes for free. Google your type of radio for software updates. I updated my RER radio to 2.404 and the latest Gracenotes. I did also buy the Nav disc as mine was original and the disk included 2015 Maps vs. 2008. Update software 1st. Make sure you follow the instructions to update the software and know how to burn the DVD correctly otherwise you could brick your radio.
