Need help!

So I've been working on my jeep for a little over 5 months now on my engine swap, and i made some mistakes before i ripped everything out (left it in park, left the front windows rolled down, etc.) Long story short I'm in Washington state where it normally doesn't storm on a huge scale and a bad system is coming. I've just had a tarp shut in the doors to cover the open windows but i fear these 70mph+ wins will beat that, so i was thinking, maybe i pop out the driver window switch bank, connect wires to both sides of the switch from a 12 volt car battery and operate it as normal? Beats taking the whole door panel off to directly power the motor. My fuse box and wiring harness is removed for amplifying information. I know basic electricity but i need a second or third opinion on this. Please help.

wiring diagram

I would need a wiring diagram of the drivers door switch before I started jumping power in the door.

duct tape and seal every edge, make sure the tarp is tight and you will be fine. Just treat the situation like covering a boat. fiddling with the wires and the possibility of shorting something out is far worse than getting your interior wet.

Wiring Diagrams

This is the best I could come up with and remember these are for a 2006 so they may differ from your XK.

I really appreciate the help guys, but I was running out of time and said screw it and took the door panel off while breaking some clips in the process (expected). there were six wires coming out the window motor. SIX! luckily got the right leads in the right order to roll up the window on my second try. My neighbor had a portable 12v battery he let me use vice jumper cables and a car battery. This thing was tiny, had wires for charging any cell phone, laptop or device, and apparently jumps cars. Said it was $50. I didn't know such a thing existed. I'm getting one for sure. He got it from NAPA where his son works.

This is what I have - not $50.00 but a good investment none the less, especially if you spend alot of time in the woods or off-road.
