Window will go down but trouble going up.

Hello

I have a 2003 Jeep Liberty Sport. My driver side front window will go down easily, but have trouble going up. Sometimes I have to press real hard for it to start moving. Once it starts moving, I can not take my hands off of the button. I read that it could be the power switch, but the other windows work fine. I also read that it could be the fuse, but it rolls down just fine. Any ideas???

Could just be that the motor for your window on the driver's side needs to be replaced.

It should be a two throw switch, aka different contact for up and down i believe. Could be one of the contacts is corroded or broken.

Good catch 06.

That is a very common problem with those switches that I overlooked.

Try holding the switch in the up position, when the window is up the whole way, keep holding the switch for 5-6 sec. Then lower and raise the window and see if has improved.

Some what... Does that mean it's a bad switch?
