Has anyone installed a radar detector by splicing the power cord into the wire harness that feeds the rear-view mirror? I'm gonna pick up one of the short leads they make for this type of hookup put it in my Commander. Is there a recommended placement so I don't block the rain sensor (I mean, where is that thing anyway?...lol). I will post install pics and note my progress in case anyone else wants to give it a try.

@lopab23, the rain sensor is a small black box attached to the windshield and there is no way you can block it with your radar detector. However, the automatic headlight sensor is attached to the rear view mirror so be sure not to block that when you install the
radar detector.
