Purchased Used 06 Commander 3.7- What next?

I just purchased an 06 Commander with 49K miles. I have been a lifelong admirer of all things Jeep. This is my first official Jeep, and I want to make it last. I purchased this from a CarMax lot, and it has a fresh oil change, so the sticker says. What should my priorities be? At this time, I'm not looking for any expensive mods. Eventually, I'll troll the board for ideas, but I'm wondering what oil to use, filters... Do I need to change the plugs and wires? With almost 50K, and not knowing the previous owner, where do I go next?

Thanks for your help.

The way I see it is when buying a used vehicle you should assume the previous owner didnt keep up on the routine maintenance. So I would have the regular maintenance done on it just incase. Who knows when the last time the transfer case or differential fluids were changed.

As for the plugs, you could always pull one and see how it looks before you spend the money on new ones. Doesnt take more then a few minutes to get a plug out. Not sure about the 3.7 liter but the 4.7 liters doesnt have normal spark plug wires like the older vehicles so you shouldnt have to worry about that.

I prefer mobil 1 synthetic oil and filter. Thats just my preference though.
