2009 Jeep Commander - leak

In the last couple of weeks, or so, I've notice just a very tiny spot or two of a very black looking liquid under our jeep commander. I did not know if it has to do with the temperatures being 103-104. Does anyone have an idea? Several years ago we had a honda civic that did the same thing and they said nothing was wrong with it.

It has always been very well taken care of.

Thank you for your help.

Anyone help here? A black liquid I would think would be oil.. Sounds like you need to crawl under it and see if you can tell where it is coming from. If you can see them take some pictures and post and maybe more people can help that way. Good luck

Most likely oil. Very hard to diagnose an issue with the somewhat vague description of a black looking drop of something.

You need to get under it stick your finger in it and see what it looks like.

Could possibly be, brake fluid, tranny fluid, diff. fluid, powersteering fluid or engine oil. Did you have any services performed recently? It could be residual fluid.
