Is the windshield a wear item?

Lol I have 58k miles on my 2006 Limited and the windshield is downright terrible... There's no cracks or anything but I've half been contemplating switching it out for a new one! In certain light or driving conditions you can literally see hundreds of thousands of dots and scratches on practically every milimeter of the entire windshield.... The commander is like a bug destroyer.

Anyone switch it out and pleased with the difference?

Mines terrible, but it will be busted again after the next road trip, so I won't mess with it until I need to register it again.
