Oil change for a XK not driven much - synthetic or regular oil

I put about 2,300 miles a year on my Commander.I would like to do an oil change once a year.Should I use regular oil or get synthetic.

i agree with jeep 5253 synthetic all the way youll notice a smoother ride and a bunch of other benefits

2006 jeep commander many mods.

Thanks for the advice.I found Valvoline SynPower 5w-20 synthetic $35.99 and a Bosch distance plus filter $13.49 for $23.99 after $7 rebate from Advance.There is another $5 rebate for the filter but both rebates require the original receipt.Would have been sweet to get it for $18.99
