annoying seatbelt problem

My driver's seatbelt is EXTREMELY slow to retract. Most of the time when I exit the vehicle I have to move the seatbelt so I don't shut the door on it. Does anyone else have this problem?

Do I need to replace it, or does something just need to be tightened?

I've recently started experiencing that problem and I hate it. Mine isn't as bad as what you're saying but I do have to help it retract. I'd also be interested in knowing the issue.

I've been dealing with that for a couple years. I just try to remember to check if it is in the way before I shut the door. My drivers side belt also has a problem where it makes a alarm noise and shows on the dash that it is not being used, when I have it locked in use. I have more trouble with it in the heat of the summer than in the winter months.
