I want to change my transmission fluid soon. I wad wondering how I would know if I have a deep pan or a shallow pan. Just wondering if anyone knows how to tell. Thanks Steve.

I really don't understand when you mean deep or shallow pan.

This should help you out.

Would need to know what trans you have - QTI - QT2 or QD2. Year and model of Commander?
Possibly you could look at the pan and measure it's depth?
Ether type of pan you will still get wet when removing

06 Commander Limited Hemi - QDII,
Past -89 Comanche, 98 Grand Cherokee (2WD), 2000 Cherokee, 05 Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7
Had to replace the brakes - they opened more gas stations in town

Most auto parts stores have all the details on their computers - which filters, amount of fluid etc. Just tell them what make - model - year and they have it all. They can sometimes look it up by VIN number also.
