Multifunction switch question??

I am getting in dash light flicker which when i searched leads to the multifunction switch as the culprit. My question is I don't have fog lights and don't have cash to do them right now, but can I add the switch with fog light control and use it for awhile a few months until I am ready to add fogs?

I am assuming it wouldn't be an issue since there is no relay or fuse for fog lights installed. Just not 100% sure.

I can't imagine it being a problem either, but I am not 100% sure.

Thanks Mustang much appreciated, and odd enough the switches with fogs are cheaper.
