2006 tpms EVIC message won't clear

Got a 2006 jeep commander that had a tpms issue. Yellow warning light flashing, "service tire pressure system" in EVIC, stepped to where it shows my individual tire pressures in EVIC and found my right front and left rear showing dashes. Today I replaced those tire pressure sensors in those wheels, drove above 20mph for several minutes like manual said....all my tires now indicating pressures in the EVIC, no flashing yellow warning light on dash......and then BAM!!!!!! "Service tire pressure system" message comes back up on EVIC. No yellow warning light just the message. Stepped through EVIC to where it displays my tire pressures--all displaying proper pressures. But message will not go away in the EVIC...

So I guess my question is....is this message generated by the "wireless control module", and is doing so cause it has the faults from the old failures still stored in them and therefore the message won't clear? If so I'm guessing it will take a visit to the dealership to have them plug in their scan tool to erase any faults in the "WCM"?? I connected my obdII scanner to it but it shows no store codes but if I'm not mistaken all I can read with the OBDII reader is the PCM??? And only the dealer can access the control modules with their software?

Anyone had any experiences with replacing sensors and getting messages to clear? Thanks in advance

Also, does anyone know where the "wireless control module" or sometimes called the "SKREEM" is located in the vehicle?

There is a fix fir that . On 05 and 06 when you install aftermarket sensors it will pop the message. Go to the dealer and ask for reflashing tpms with the latest software. There is tsb for that.

I would disconnect the neg battery cable to see if that will reset it before going to dealer.

I know I am a little late to respond but I had the same problem. After I rotated the tires the message went away. Don't know why or how but I have the same message for 6 months until I rotated the tires.

I've had the "service tire press system" msg displayed for almost 2 years now. I have a buddy that works for Jeep. He has scanned the truck and checked the codes. I don't recall what the stored codes where, but he said it can be one of 3 modules. He did the TPS relearn too, and the codes came back. He noted it could be the WCM, one of the 3 Wireless receivers on the body, or the igntion cylinder assembly. All 5 parts in total must communicate properly for it to operate correclty. Plus Jeep was also kind enough to not put a diagnostic flow chart in for the codes. I have been stumped with it, just dealt with it.

Bamasteeler, I'm getting the TPMS warning after rotating my tires. Pressure was a little low so I added to all (including spare) and have driven numerous times over 10 miles and it won't go away. I have never seen the individual tire pressure options in the EVIC, do you or anyone know if it is only on Limited/HEMIs? I'm got a base 4.7.
