Loud roaring noise after replacing water pump

Hey all,
After doing a water pump, fan clutch, and belt replacement I started my 4.7L Commander and there was a loud roaring noise that got louder with acceleration. I took a test drive and it was still there for a bit, and finally went away (for now)...any ideas why? Hoping it was just new bearings/seals wearing in.

thanks.

Roaring sounds like the fan, possibly the new clutch needed to be broken in / used a little bit. Fan spinning hard cold when it should be slipping when cold. Feel the fan and see if it moves fairly easily when cold like it should, hot it should have greater resistance to slipping. Do not think the clutch has a pin or bolt to prevent slipping when in shipment - but might check.

Had to replace the brakes - they opened more gas stations in town

thanks - I drove it again this morning and it seems fine. Guess the clutch needed to break in or something. The clutch slips cold, but there is definitely much more resistance than the old one.
