Resetting the computer???

How can I reset the computer, I know to unkook the battery. I forget the rest, maybe hold the gas pedal down, any help would be appreciated!!!!!!!!!!

I think it is a battery disconnect only, the other suggestion was to turn you ignition key to the on position for 10 seconds while the battery is disconnected.

I have always been told (and has worked for me) that you disconnect both the + and - on the battery and touch both cables together for 10 seconds or so. This will quickly and completely discharge any copacitors in the computer, but it won't de-program the computer.
