Brake Pads

I have an 06 Commander with 5.7L. It has almost 90,000kms on it now and I know the pads are getting low. I've done brake work before on other trucks/suv but also have had the shop manual to guide me. I don't have the manual for my 06 Commander but am thinking of picking up some pads (front and rear) and installing them myself. Depending on how the rotors look when I get them off I may go get them turned at a local brake shop as well.

Any tips/tricks/hints to watch for when changing out the pads on the 06 Commander?

thx, Paul.
