Tire decision help...

I am looking at BFG Mud terrains(255/75) and All terrains(265/70).

My question is will the Mud Terrains handle towing as well as the All terrain?

Does the Load Range of a tire help with towing, or will it matter?

I have a 2006 with Hemi, will be towing 20' trailer with JK on it.

Thanks for all the help!

I'm not sure how much of the weight your commander will be holding but a heavier ply tire and/or a tire with a higher load index will help you when towing. (especially if you also have the back of your commander loaded up with gear.)

I pulled up the specs and it looks like both of these tires are offered in a 6ply and both of them have a higher load index than your stock tires. The load index difference between the KM2 and BFG TA KO in these sizes is only 1 point.

Its really up to you to make the decision about which one is better suited for you. If you already have a JK I'd run the MT's on that and the AT on the commander but that's me. In the long run, the AT will hold up better while towing.
