Choosing Tires after a 2" lift

We just installed a 2" Rough Country Lift on my '07 V6 Commander. Now it's time to put on some new tires. We aren't going to install any wheel spacers so I'm thinking of going with one of these sizes:

either 245-70-17, 255-70-17 or 245-75-17

Any recommendations on Brands, etc..? What have you guys been happy with?

Tinted Windows, Audiovox Overhead DVD Player, AVS Vent Visors, 2" Rough
Country Lift, AstroStart 2-Way Remote Start, 245-70-17 General Grabber HTS

Before anybody can give you advice on tires we need to know what you will be doing with your Commander. A lot of off-roading ? A lot of mud ? Mostly highway ? 50/50 off-road and highway ?

Hi ~

No off-roading and no mud. Just for driving to work & back, and a grocery-getter.

I'm considering General Grabber HTS or maybe Hancook's - either in 255-65-17 or 245-70-17.

Any other suggestions?

I put 255/70r17 Goodyear Silent armors on my 07 and I love them. They are quiet and do good in the snow too.

If you're not going to do much wheeling, stick to stock, or maybe only a bit larger. Bigger tires = less MPG's.

2006, 4.7L, QTII, Toyo M/T 265/70R17 tires, Ultrasport 175 wheels, Rocky Road 2.25'' lift kit, HID off-road lighting, Surco 50x60 roof rack, Foxwing awning.

Red face

I decided to go with the 245-70-17 General Grabbers HTs. So far I have no complaints & I'm satisfied with them. They are a nice size & fill out the Wheel well pretty good.
