new treads what size?

Looking for new treads. rig is driven 95% highway but would like something to go offroad every so often to keep her happy. setup will be 2" lift, 1.5" spacers and on the stock chrome wheels. going with the terrain t/a. here are the 3 sizes im looking at
255/70
265/70
285/70

really im debating between the 255 and 285. my question is how bad will the 285's rub? am i going to have to do extreme bashing on the fender wells? is it more the height or the width issue on these? thanks for any input you guys can give me

A lot of work needs to be done if you ever plan on running 285/70's with a 2 inch spacer lift. Especially if you have rear AC/Heat and havent yet done the pinch weld modification. Not only that but then you run into the issue of rubbing on the fender flares which requires trimming. Your best bet would be to stay with a 265/70 or 255/70 unless you dont mind making them fit! Take a look at these threads.

I did a complete rear AC/Heat delete swap on my XK since I took out the third row seating. I ordered the new lines from the dealer and now you cant even tell my XK had rear ac or heat. Its an easy process if someday your interested. Here is a thread from the install.
