OEM wheel corrosion

So, we recently purchased an 07' jeep commander with only 50,000miles. Pretty sharp vehicle all in all. What I failed to notice was the corrosion on wheels where previous sets of wheel weights had sitten. Of course, we're not the original owners but we purchased the Chrysler extended warranty. Is there still factory warranty that would cover that sort of thing? Please help? I really don't feel like paying for new wheels if I don't have to. Thanks

The factory warranty was only good for 36 months or 36,000 miles.

Scrape the flaking corrosion, sand lightly or use a dremel tool to clean up, and either spray a coat or two of clear coat finish from your local auto parts store, or brush it on.
