265/65/18 or 285/60/18

I'm still racking my brain about tire size for my Commander. Im seeing, using the Tacoma wheel calculator, that these two sizes are nearly identical. Thoughts?

Stock 18x7.5" Overland wheels, 2.25 RR Lift, 1.5" spacers.

Here are the calculator results.

http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/tir...5r18-285-60r18

Im worried about the width of the 265 (10.43) going up to the 285 (11.22). I know it's a tight fit as it is, but those tires look beefy. Everything else is smaller.

You don't need a website... Nothing magical to convert mm to inches (divide by 25.4)

265/25.4 = 10.43" wide
285/25.4 = 11.22" wide

I'm running 275/65/18 btw.

Your Commander is one of the Jeeps I've studied, looks killer BTW....but aren't you also on about a 3" lift with the OMEs?

Yes, and my tires are taller than the 285/60/18s and my wheels stick out further than your desired wheel/spacer setup which negate the extra .7-1" i'll have over your RR lift.

If I were you, i'd get the 285/60/18... the slightly more width will look great

Edit: btw thanks

Pinch weld and screw back the liners with a self tapper. Should fit like a glove.
