is 245/75r17 to narrow?

Am just starting to get into off roading and I was wonder if 245/75r17 to narrow for off roading or should I be fine with this size. I have a 2" daystar lift and Aev XK pintler wheels. Am also want to getting BFgoodrich All-Terrain KO tires.

The AEV XK Pintler wheels are 8.5 inches wide and not really meant for a 245mm wide tire. Yes you can physically run that narrow of a tire on a 8.5 inch wide wheel but I wouldn't recommend it. Especially for off roading. You should run an absolute minimum 265mm wide tire on that wheel. I'm running 285's on an 8 inch wide wheel which honestly is perfect.
